Zee Entertainment Approves Fundraising Plan
Zee Entertainment Enterprises approved a proposal to raise at least ₹2,300 crore through one or more tranches to support strategic and business initiatives. The company also announced that it has secured advertising commitments from more than a dozen brands across sectors such as automobiles, FMCG, financial services, beverages and technology for its FIFA World Cup 2026 coverage.
SBI Revises FCNR Deposit Rates
State Bank of India increased interest rates on Foreign Currency Non-Resident Bank [FCNR(B)] deposits across select tenures.
The bank raised rates for deposits with maturities ranging from three to five years to 5.25%-6.00%. The five-year tenor witnessed an increase of up to 295 basis points, while rates for four- to five-year deposits were raised by up to 280 basis points. Deposits with maturities between three and four years saw an increase of nearly 215 basis points.
Honasa Consumer Sets Margin Target
Mamaearth parent Honasa Consumer reported 30% growth in its focus categories during FY26 and outlined plans to improve profitability. The company is targeting an EBITDA margin of 15% through operational efficiencies and cost optimisation initiatives aimed at unlocking 500 basis points of margin expansion.
PFC-REC Merger Gets Government Approval
Power Finance Corporation and REC may remain under watch after the government approved the merger of REC into PFC. The transaction is expected to consolidate the operations of two major public sector lenders focused on the power and infrastructure sectors.
IIFL Finance Raises Overseas Debt
IIFL Finance’s board approved the allotment of $500 million fixed-rate senior secured notes due in 2029. The proceeds are expected to support the company’s funding requirements and business operations.
Banking Stocks In Focus
UCO Bank increased its three-month and six-month Treasury Bill Linked Lending Rates (TBLR) by 10 basis points each to 5.40% and 5.60%, respectively.
Bank of Baroda raised its one-month, three-month and six-month Marginal Cost of Funds Based Lending Rate (MCLR) by 5 basis points.
Canara Bank also announced a 5-basis-point increase in its one-month and three-month MCLR, effective June 12.

Power Grid appointed Venkata S V as Chief Financial Officer and approved a ₹485 crore SCADA system upgrade. The company also secured a Japanese yen-denominated loan facility worth 80 billion yen.
