Aegis Logistics, Gujarat Alkalies and Chemicals, and Macrotech Developers have witnessed volume burst in the last 75 minutes of the trade.

As the saying goes, the first, as well as the last hour of each trading session, is the most important and active in terms of price & volume.

More so, the activity in the last hour is said to be of utmost importance because most of the pro-traders and institutions are active at this time. Hence, when a stock sees a good spike in volume in the last leg of the trade along with a price rise, it is considered a pro, and institutions have a keen interest in the stock. Market participants should keep a close watch on these stocks as they can witness good momentum in the short to medium-term.

So, based on this principle, we have shortlisted three stocks that have witnessed volume burst in the last leg of the trade along with price rise.

Aegis Logistics: The stock opened with a gap-up and in the last leg of trade it witnessed a stupendous up-move that was backed by robust volume. In the last 75-minutes, it witnessed over 60% of the total traded volume for the day, which hints that some smart buyers were active in this stock. Hence, watch out!

Gujarat Alkalies and Chemicals:  The stock had jumped over 11% on Friday and it recorded the highest single-day volume since May 11, 2022. The most striking fact is that it witnessed over 50% of total volume in the last 75-minutes of trade and price too surged higher, which clearly indicates buying interest in the stock. Hence, keep a close watch on this stock.

Macrotech Developers: The stock recorded towering gains of over 9% on Friday. It started the session with a gap-up and after an initial up-move, it consolidated in a narrow range for the better part of the trading session, only to witness a continuation of up-move in the last leg of trade. The stock not only witnessed a sharp up-move of over 2% in the last leg, but also, recorded over 50% of the volume in the last 75-minutes of the trade. Thus, it demands special attention.
