Watch out for these price-volume breakout stocks

Indian equity market is trading upwards today; gains are witnessed in the IT and Finance sector.
Overnight, the Wall Street indices closed higher amid positive global cues. The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 1.61% and S&P 500 advanced 1.99%. Along similar lines, Nasdaq gained 2.68%. Elon Musk committed to pay for Twitter which resulted in the heavy buying of the shares of Tesla and Twitter. Both stocks gained 7.43% and 6.35%, respectively. A day ago, minutes from the Federal Reserve’s policy meeting showed that the central bank is going to raise interest rates by a half-percentage point each in June and July in order to overcome the inflation.
Considering Asian markets, all the major benchmark indices were trading upwards except China’s Shanghai SE Composite Index. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng jumped by more than 2% as tech giant Alibaba Group announced its earnings report.
At 12:20 pm, Indian headline indicator BSE Sensex advanced 0.60% and was at a level of 54,579.18. The top gaining stocks on Sensex were Tech Mahindra, Bajaj Finance and IndusInd Bank. The Nifty 50 index was trading at 16,255.85 points, up by 0.53%. The top shares trading in green were Tech Mahindra, HDFC Life Insurance Company and Apollo Hospitals Ltd.
On the sectoral front, the top-performing sector was BSE IT. IndiaMart Ltd, Affle India Ltd and NIIT Ltd were the top performers with a gain of 7.22%, 5.01% and 4.76%, respectively.
