ESDS Software Solution Hits 5% Lower Circuit After Sharp Post-Listing Rally
Last Updated: 17th September 2026 - 12:02 pm
ESDS Software Solution shares ran into profit booking on Wednesday, September 16, bringing a pause to the sharp rally that had followed the company’s stock market debut earlier this month.
The stock fell 5% on the NSE to ₹1,733.50, hitting the lower circuit for the session. This followed several sessions in which the newly listed shares had repeatedly touched their upper circuit limits.
Even after Wednesday’s decline, ESDS Software Solution remains well above the level at which it entered the market. The shares had listed on the NSE at ₹757 apiece, a 76.46% premium to the IPO price. At Wednesday’s lower-circuit price, the stock was still 129.07% above its listing level.
The company’s ₹720-crore initial public offering had been priced in a band of ₹408 to ₹429 per share.
The pace of the stock’s movement since listing has also led to changes in its daily trading limits. The circuit filter, which had earlier been set at 20%, was subsequently brought down to 10% and has now been reduced further to 5%.
ESDS Software Solution operates in the technology space, providing AI-enabled cloud services, managed services, data centre infrastructure and software solutions.
Wednesday’s lower circuit marks a reversal from the run of upper circuits seen in the preceding sessions, although the stock continues to trade at more than twice its ₹757 listing price.
