Utilisation of IPO Proceeds

Augmont Enterprises proposes to utilise the majority of its ₹620 crore fresh issue towards supporting the working-capital requirements of its business. The company's precious-metals operations require substantial working capital because of the high value of gold and silver inventory and the scale of its bullion trading activities.

The fresh capital is expected to strengthen the company's ability to fund inventory and support its operating requirements as its enterprise and consumer-facing precious-metals businesses scale. Augmont SPOT accounts for more than 90% of the company's revenue, making adequate working-capital availability particularly important for its enterprise and international operations.

A portion of the fresh issue proceeds may also be utilised towards general corporate purposes, in accordance with the objects outlined in the offer documents.

Since the IPO includes a ₹205 crore offer-for-sale component, Augmont Enterprises will not receive the proceeds attributable to the shares sold by existing shareholders.

Business Overview

Augmont Enterprises operates across the gold and silver ecosystem, providing services to businesses as well as individual consumers. Its activities span precious-metal procurement, refining, bullion distribution, digital gold and silver, jewellery, international sales and technology-enabled services.

Its Augmont SPOT platform serves enterprise customers such as jewellers, bullion dealers and manufacturers. The electronic platform enables customers to purchase bullion online with physical delivery and represents the largest part of Augmont's business, contributing more than 90% of revenue.

The consumer-facing Augmont Gold for All business provides customers access to gold and silver through digital and offline channels. This gives the company exposure to both institutional bullion demand and India's growing organised consumer precious-metals market.

The company's operations also extend to refining, jewellery manufacturing, international sales and technology support for gold-backed financial services, providing it with a presence across several parts of the precious-metals value chain.

Key strengths include its integrated precious-metals platform, established Augmont SPOT ecosystem, presence across enterprise and consumer segments, online and offline distribution capabilities, wide geographical reach and exposure to both gold and silver markets.

Investors should also consider risks associated with volatility in gold and silver prices, substantial working-capital requirements, geographical concentration, dependence on the enterprise bullion business, regulatory changes affecting precious metals and digital gold, counterparty risks and fluctuations in consumer demand. Around 63% of the company's revenue comes from Maharashtra, while the company reported an operating cash-flow deficit of approximately ₹42 crore in FY26, highlighting geographical concentration and working-capital considerations.
