Today, the Indian market closed up with a green mark. BSE Auto Index is the top gainer whereas BSE Oil & Gas is the top loser.

Today, Indian equity market closed with green mark. Besides, all sectoral indices closed on a positive note except one which closed negatively.

In today’s trade, Nifty 50 and BSE Sensex indices closed up by 197.05 points i.e., 1.14% and 657.39 points i.e., 1.14%, respectively. Stocks that supported BSE Sensex and Nifty 50 to pull the index up were HDFC Bank Ltd, Reliance Industries Ltd, ICICI Bank Ltd and Infosys Ltd. Whereas, stocks that dragged BSE Sensex and Nifty 50 down were ITC Ltd and Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd.

Among BSE equity indices, S&P BSE Auto, S&P BSE Consumer Durables, S&P BSE Private Banks Index, S&P BSE Metal and S&P BSE MidCap Select Index are top gainers. BSE Auto consisting of stocks such as Maruti Suzuki India Ltd, Bajaj Auto Ltd, Cummins India Ltd, Ashok Leyland Ltd and Balkrishna Industries Ltd led the pack.

In today’s trading session only one BSE sectoral index closed on negative note namely S&P BSE Oil & Gas. BSE Oil & Gas consisting of stocks such as Adani Total Gas Ltd, Oil & Natural Gas Corporation Ltd, Indraprastha Gas Ltd, GAIL (India) Ltd and Bharat Petroleum Corp Ltd were the top drags.
