Domestic indices trade lower, dragged by oil & gas and healthcare stocks. 

After minutes from a meeting of the Federal Reserve indicated policymakers may be less aggressive in raising interest rates in September, Wall Street indices ended lower on Wednesday. The Nasdaq Composite fell 1.25%, the Dow Jones Industrial Average dropped 0.50%, and the S&P 500 declined 0.72%.

Indian benchmark indices opened with slight cuts, reflecting the overall mood around the world. The Sensex and Nifty 50 fluctuated slightly in the opening trades between small gains and losses, but they were able to hold their respective crucial levels of 60,000 and 17,800. 

The majority of sectors were trading lower, with BSE Oil and Gas and BSE Healthcare being the two biggest market draggers. With losses of almost 3%, Dr Reddy's Laboratories was the top loser in the healthcare sector as well as the Sensex.  

At 11:50 am, the BSE Sensex declined 0.38%, reaching a level of 60,033.81. The Nifty 50 index fell 0.36% to 17,879.70 level. On the Sensex, Bharti Airtel, Kotak Mahindra Bank and UltraTech Cement Company were the top gainers, while Dr Reddy’s Laboratories, Wipro and Sun Pharmaceuticals were the top losers. 

In the broader markets, the BSE Midcap index advanced 0.28% and was trading at a level of 25,252.32, whereas the Smallcap index rose 0.23% and was trading at a level of 28,407.13.
