Penny Stocks Locked in the Upper Circuit on May 17, 2022

On Tuesday, most of the leading global indices advanced amid positive global cues.
On Wall Street, indices witnessed mixed sentiments amid the release of Chinese economic data which may add to the worries about global slowdown and high inflation. Huge selling was seen in the shares of Twitter and Tesla as Elon Musk put the Twitter deal on hold. Both the scrips declined by 8.18% and 5.88%, respectively.

Following is the list of penny stocks locked in the upper circuit on Tuesday. Keep a close eye on these counters for the upcoming sessions.

In case of Asian markets, Hong Kong’s benchmark indicator Hang Seng advanced by 2.34% and was the top performer in today’s early trades. On similar lines, all other indices were trading in green territories.
At 10:50 am, the Nifty 50 was trading at 16,080.55, up by 1.50%. The top gainers in the Nifty 50 pack were Hindalco Industries, JSW Steel and Coal India Ltd. On the other hand, top losers were Cipla, HDFC Life Insurance Company and Tata Consumer Products Ltd. The Nifty Bank was at the level of 33,877.85, jumped by 0.83%. The top performers trading in the green were ICICI Bank, Bandhan Bank and Kotak Mahindra Bank.
Sensex was trading at a level of 53,791.83, upwards by 1.54%. Whereas, BSE Midcap index was trading at a level of 22,376.76, up by 1.05%. BSE Smallcap index surged by 1.31% and was trading at a level of 25,942.69. The top performers of Sensex were Tata Steel, Reliance Industries and ITC Ltd. Stocks pulling down the index were NTPC Ltd and HDFC Bank.
On the sectoral front, most of the indices were trading in green, with BSE Metals, BSE Energy and BSE Basic Materials being the best performers.
