Brahma AI, backed by Prime Focus, has raised $150 million in fresh funding at a post-money valuation of $2 billion.

The round was led by Multiples Alternate Asset Management, which invested $100 million through preferred shares. Prime Focus disclosed the transaction to the stock exchanges on September 23.

The company has also received another $100 million of investor interest and may expand the round to accommodate some or all of that demand. The transaction remains subject to customary approvals.

The latest fundraising marks a sharp step-up in Brahma AI’s valuation. In February 2025, Prime Focus had disclosed a valuation of $1.43 billion after an earlier funding round led by Abu Dhabi-based United Al Saqer Group.

Brahma AI develops enterprise technology for managing, understanding and creating audiovisual content. Its platform brings together content intelligence and management tools with visual AI, digital humans, voice and multilingual capabilities.

According to the company, its customers include Warner Bros, the NBA and Mayo Clinic. It also has strategic relationships with Google, Japan’s Hakuhodo and visual-effects company DNEG.

Prime Focus will continue to be Brahma AI’s largest economic shareholder after the funding round. Through its subsidiary DNEG, the listed company is expected to hold about 66% economic ownership after accounting for dilution from the latest fundraise, the employee stock option pool and founder equity.

Brahma AI will continue to operate independently under founder and chief executive Prabhu Narasimhan, with its own management, board and governance structure.

The company plans to use the new capital for research and development, expanding its presence in the San Francisco Bay Area and building out its global sales organisation. It is also preparing to launch interactive digital humans and broaden the use of its technology across areas including sports, healthcare and advertising.

The $150 million round gives Brahma AI fresh capital for that expansion while keeping Prime Focus as its largest economic shareholder. The company has not disclosed a timeline for any further fundraising beyond the additional investor interest already received.
