Domestic benchmark indices were trading flat and BSE Metals Index was trending among all sectoral indices, surging over 1%

On Thursday, the benchmark indices were trading flat with Sensex up around 100 points or 0.16% at 59,848.68, and the Nifty trading up by 29 points or 0.15% at 17,582.15. About 1,611 shares have advanced, 1,599 declined, and 154 are unchanged on the BSE.

Top gainers and losers On BSE Sensex Index are as follows: 
The top Sensex gainers were ITC, Tata Steel and Tata Consultancy Services whereas the top Sensex losers were Asian Paints, HDFC Bank and IndusInd Bank.

The BSE Metals Index was the top gaining on the sectorial indices and BSE Realty Index was the top loser on the sectorial indices. The BSE Metals Index soared 1.91%, led by Coal India and Tata Steel while the BSE Realty Index fell 0.86%, dragged down by Godrej Properties and IB Real-estate Developers.
