Kotak Mahindra Bank has broken above its 2025 highs. HDFC Bank has rebounded from recent lows. Both feature in this Samvat 2083 list, though the reasons for their inclusion are quite different.

The distinction matters when reading Diwali stock recommendations. A company recovering after a decline presents a different chart setup from one already trading near fresh highs. This year’s selection includes both, alongside stocks approaching levels they have struggled to cross before.

Diwali 2026 marks the arrival of Samvat 2083 in the stock market’s traditional calendar. Muhurat trading is scheduled for Sunday, 8 November 2026. Ahead of that session, these ten recommendations focus on price trends, trading volumes, moving averages and momentum.

TVS Motor Company TVSMOTOR Rebound from its 200-day EMA within an intact weekly uptrend
Hindustan Aeronautics HAL Move towards ₹5,000 while holding above key EMAs

These Samvat 2083 stock recommendations are intended for a one-year investment horizon.

The technical rationale behind the ten picks

1. Kotak Mahindra Bank: A breakout above the 2025 highs

Kotak Mahindra Bank has moved above its 2025 highs on the weekly chart, reaching a fresh multi-year high. Its exponential moving averages, or EMAs, are rising, while the relative strength index, or RSI, is near 69.

Relative strength is also close to its highs. The recommendation therefore rests on a breakout already visible on the weekly chart, with the moving averages and momentum readings supporting the move.

2. HDFC Bank: A high-volume rebound from recent lows

HDFC Bank’s recovery has come with a pickup in trading volume. The stock has rebounded from its recent lows and reclaimed its 20-day and 50-day EMAs.

RSI is near 58, and relative strength is turning positive. Here, the technical case centres on the improvement following the decline: the stock has recovered two moving-average reference points as momentum begins to strengthen.

3. ITC: Improving momentum after a prolonged decline

ITC has regained its 20-day and 50-day EMAs on strong volume after a prolonged decline. RSI has risen above 60, while relative strength has turned positive.

The recommendation identifies a value-buy opportunity in this recovery. Its rationale combines the move back above the two EMAs with improving momentum and relative strength. The stronger volume accompanying the recovery is another part of the technical assessment.

4. Indian Hotels Company: Moving towards its December 2024 peak

Indian Hotels is extending its rally to a fresh multi-month high. On the weekly chart, the stock is moving towards its December 2024 peak.

RSI is near 75, and relative strength remains firmly positive. The earlier peak is the important chart reference in this recommendation. The stock is approaching that level; the assessment does not describe a breakout above it.

5. Laurus Labs: Consolidation after a breakout

Laurus Labs has already broken out to fresh highs on high volume and is now consolidating. The wider weekly uptrend remains strong.

RSI is near 69, while weekly relative strength is at new highs. This places Laurus Labs among the established-trend selections in the Samvat list. Its consolidation follows a breakout, rather than a rebound from a prolonged decline.

6. Dr Reddy’s Laboratories: Near the upper end of a two-year range

Dr Reddy’s has rallied to a multi-month high and is nearing the top of its two-year trading range, around ₹1,400.

Momentum has strengthened, with RSI near 75 and relative strength climbing. The ₹1,400 area gives this setup a clear reference point. However, reaching the upper end of a range and breaking above it are separate developments. The recommendation describes the stock approaching that boundary.

7. Eternal: Above September’s highs, with the 2025 peak in view

Eternal has moved above its September highs to reach a fresh multi-month high. The advance has brought it closer to its 2025 peak on the weekly chart.

RSI is near 65, and relative strength is positive. The move beyond September’s highs is already part of the setup; the 2025 peak remains the next historical reference highlighted in the recommendation.

8. Reliance Industries: A reversal across daily and weekly references

Reliance Industries has delivered a high-volume reversal, reclaiming all its key daily EMAs as well as its 200-week EMA.

RSI is near 67, with relative strength turning positive. The recovery spans two chart timeframes: the key daily moving averages and the longer-term weekly reference. Both are part of the technical rationale behind its inclusion.

9. TVS Motor Company: A rebound from the 200-day EMA

TVS Motor has rebounded from its 200-day EMA and reclaimed all its key EMAs. The stock is moving towards its August highs, while the weekly uptrend remains intact.

RSI is near 64. The recommendation follows that sequence: a rebound from the longer-term moving average, a recovery above the other key EMAs and a move back towards an earlier high.

10. Hindustan Aeronautics: Pressing against ₹5,000

HAL is pressing against ₹5,000 while holding above all its key EMAs. RSI is near 58, and weekly relative strength is turning up.

The ₹5,000 level is central to this setup. The stock is testing that area with improving weekly relative strength, although the recommendation does not describe a completed breakout above it.

How to read these Diwali stock picks

There are meaningful differences within this list. Kotak Mahindra Bank has cleared its earlier highs, while Laurus Labs is consolidating after a breakout. HDFC Bank, ITC and Reliance feature because their charts show recoveries from weaker positions.

Dr Reddy’s and HAL need a different reading. The ₹1,400 and ₹5,000 levels mentioned in their rationales are chart references, not target prices supplied with these recommendations. Indian Hotels and Eternal are also approaching earlier peaks.

That is useful context before treating all ten names as equivalent opportunities. The list identifies technical setups; it does not provide a complete trade plan for every stock.
