Petrol and diesel prices across India stayed mostly unchanged on May 13, 2026, as oil marketing companies continued their early morning revision cycle based on global crude oil benchmarks and currency movements.
The revision happens daily at 6 AM. Despite ongoing volatility in international oil markets, today’s update showed only small fluctuations across select cities, while most rates remained steady.
Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister Hardeep Singh Puri said at the CII Summit in New Delhi, “I can't say that prices will not increase.” He also pointed to financial stress faced by oil marketing companies, while clarifying that there is no immediate concern about supply disruption.
Global crude oil prices traded lower on Wednesday morning after gaining sharply over the previous three sessions. Despite the decline, Brent crude continued to remain above the $107 per barrel level as concerns over the West Asia conflict and supply disruptions kept the market under pressure.
