Stock Market Outlook for January 28

  • Markets Trading with a Positive Bias: Indian equities are trading firm, supported by gains across frontline indices. The Nifty 50 and Sensex are holding higher levels, while Nifty Bank remains strong, indicating continued participation from banking and financial stocks despite cautious undertones.

  • Global Cues Mixed but Stable: Asian markets present a mixed picture, with strength in Hang Seng and Shanghai offsetting weakness in Nikkei. Firm crude prices and steady bond yields are offering limited directional cues, keeping global sentiment balanced during the session.

  • Flows and Volatility Watch: Persistent FII selling remains a concern; however, strong and consistent DII inflows continue to provide meaningful support. With India VIX slightly lower, volatility appears contained, allowing for selective buying and stock-specific action through the day.
