Stock Market Outlook for Today:

  • Flat to Cautious Start Expected: Gift Nifty is trading 0.25% lower, indicating a potential subdued opening for Indian equities. However, positive momentum in US markets (Dow +0.70%) and strong gains in Asian indices may lend support as the session progresses.
  • Options Data Suggests Consolidation: The Nifty Max Pain stands at 24,400—close to the previous closing—implying limited movement in either direction. Low PCR readings for both Nifty (0.71) and Bank Nifty (0.83) point to a possible cautious undertone among traders.
  • Institutional Buying and Crude Softness Provide Support: Continued buying by FIIs (₹2,585.9 crore) and DIIs (₹2,378.5 crore), along with a dip in crude oil prices (WTI at $58.55), may cushion downside risks and support stock-specific action.
