Two notable IPOs are set to make waves in Asia as Om Power Transmission in India and VPS Securities in Vietnam gear up for their public listings. Both companies have filed detailed plans with regulators, aiming to attract strong investor interest and raise substantial capital.

Om Power Transmission Files DRHP with SEBI

To acquire money through an IPO, Om Power Transmission, an Indian provider of power transmission infrastructure, has submitted its Draft Red Herring Prospectus (DRHP) to the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI). In order to strengthen its balance sheet and finance its expansion goals, the company intends to issue shares. Om Power is well-known for its strong position in the power transmission market, serving renewable energy projects, utilities, and industries. The company's capital foundation and growth trajectory in India's growing infrastructure market are anticipated to be strengthened by the IPO.

The company has positioned the IPO as an opportunity for investors to participate in a growing segment of India’s energy infrastructure, which is witnessing increasing demand due to the country’s focus on renewable energy integration and modernisation of power grids.

VPS Securities IPO Set at $3.4 Billion Valuation

With a minimum price of VND60,000 ($2.28) per share and an estimated worth of roughly $3.4 billion, VPS Securities JSC has announced its impending initial public offering (IPO) in Vietnam. Through the offering, the business hopes to raise about VND12,139 billion ($460.56 million).  A sizeable amount, around VND8,982 billion, would go towards margin lending activities, which is in line with VPS's plan to fortify its main broking business.

A sizable attendance at the company's event, "The Next Chapter – Excellence and Distinction," demonstrated the strong level of investor interest in the IPO. Additionally, VPS Securities recently issued bonus shares, increasing its charter capital to VND12,800 billion ($485.64 million) and the number of outstanding shares to 1.28 billion. It is anticipated that additional plans for private placement will increase the company's charter capital to VND16,442 billion ($623.82 million).

With an estimated post-tax profit of VND2,517 billion ($95.5 million) for the first nine months of 2025, VPS Securities is continuing to show good financial performance and will almost exactly match its full-year 2024 profit. The business continues to hold the most market share in Vietnam's stock broking industry, solidifying its top spot in Q3 2025.

Conclusion

Both Om Power Transmission and VPS Securities are set to attract investor attention with their strategic IPOs, reflecting strong growth prospects in the infrastructure and financial sectors in India and Vietnam. While Om Power focuses on power transmission and renewable energy, VPS Securities leverages its leading position in brokerage and margin lending to appeal to investors. These IPOs signify the ongoing vibrancy of equity markets in Asia, providing opportunities for investors seeking exposure to high-growth sectors.
