Seven of India's top ten most valued firms collectively lost ₹88,635 crore in market capitalisation last week amid a holiday-shortened trading period, driven predominantly by weakness in the telecom and IT sectors. Bharti Airtel and Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) were the biggest contributors to the decline, with Airtel’s valuation dropping by ₹30,506 crore to ₹11.41 lakh crore and TCS losing ₹23,680 crore, reducing its market capitalisation to ₹10.82 lakh crore.
