Markets opened on a cautious note Friday morning, with the Nifty 50 trading at 23,067 at 11:02 a.m. According to the FII/DII data for September 24, FIIs remained net sellers, offloading equities worth ₹4,729 crore, while DIIs remained net buyers, purchasing equities worth ₹3,687 crore.

Overnight, the US 10-year Treasury yield touched 5.22%, a 19-year high, while the 30-year yield climbed to 5.48%, a 22-year high,a concerning trend as borrowing costs rise. Meanwhile, crude oil prices are trading at $92 per barrel, providing slight relief to the market.

Despite these market conditions, here are the top gainers and losers in the Nifty 500 index.

Top Gainers for September 25: Allied Blenders, Welspun Corp, & HEGAM Gain Up to 5%

Allied Blenders Gains 5%

Allied Blenders emerged as the top gainer in the Nifty 500 index on September 25, 2026. At 10:00 am,Allied Blenders share price was trading at ₹748, up 5% from its previous close on the NSE.Trading volumes jumped at 26 lakhs shares, compared with the 30-day average volume of 7.4 lakh shares.

The company disclosed on September 24 that 55 lakh shares worth ₹357 crore,representing around 1.96% of the total paid-up equity were exchanged through an open market transaction. This stake was sold by Bina Kishore Chhabria, a promoter of the company, and the majority of it was bought by SBI Mutual Fund and the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority. 

Welspun Corp Rises Over 3.8%

Welspun Corp share price rose to ₹2795, gaining 3.8% from its previous close on the NSE.Trading volumes stood at 13 lakh shares, compared with the 30-day average volume of 28 lakh shares.

On September 25, 2026, Welspun Tubular LLC,the US-based wholly owned subsidiary of Welspun Corp Limited,secured the largest order in its history by volume,length,and value. Valued at approximately $412.5 million (~₹4,000 crore), the contract is for the supply of HFIW pipes.
 
HEGAM gains 3.6%

At 10:00 am, the HEGAM share price was trading at ₹243,reflecting a gain of 3.6% from its previous close on the NSE.

Trading volumes also remained at 21 lakh shares, compared with the 30-day average volume of 37 lakh shares.The stock is trading on a positive note amid anticipation surrounding the schedule of an investor meeting on September 28,2026.

Top Losers for September 25: OLA Electric, Meesho & Oracle Fin Serv Fall Up to 7.5%

OLA Electric Falls 7.5%

OLA Electric emerged as the top loser in the Nifty 500 index on September 25, 2026. At 10:00 am, OLA Electric share price was trading at ₹39.3, down 7.5% from its previous close on the NSE. Trading volumes stood at 9.1 Crore shares, compared with the 30-day average volume of 7.5 Crore shares.

Ola Electric shares gained 23% between September 18 and September 24 amid heavy volume turnover, resulting in some profit-taking activity. Moreover, although there is optimism surrounding the company’s future prospects, even the brokers like Citibank and Kotak remain bearish on the stock.

Meesho Drops 4.75%

Meesho emerged as the top loser in the Nifty 500 index on September 25, 2026. At 10:00 am, Meesho share price was trading at ₹221, down 4.75% from its previous close on the NSE. Trading volumes currently stand at 1.3 crore shares, compared with the 30-day average volume of 2.1 crore shares.

On September 23, a major block deal took place in which RPS WOS II LLC, an institutional investor, sold around 3.86 crore shares. Additionally, Nomura initiated coverage on the company with a "reduce" rating, viewing it as a direct play on India's fast-growing online value-commerce market.

Oracle Fin Serv Over 4.4%

At 10:00 am, the Oracle Fin Serv share price was trading at ₹10,441, down 4.4% from its previous close on the NSE.Trading volumes currently stand at 2.7 lakh shares, compared with the 30-day average volume of 2.2 lakh shares.

The stock fell as the US-based parent company of Oracle informed a Blue Owl company working on a huge data center in New Mexico that it had sent out a “force majeure” notice, citing delays in obtaining energy for the project. Force majeure notices are usually sent out by companies because of problems they face that are beyond their control and that could relieve them of their contractual obligations.
