Low Price Shares locked in Upper Circuit on April 01

At noon on Friday, the core equity indices, i.e. Sensex and Nifty 50, were trading marginally higher amidst the volatility and sober global cues.

The Sensex was trading at 58,775.34, up by 206.83 points or 0.35% and the Nifty 50 was trading at 17,523.70, up by 58.95 points or 0.34%.

The top five gainers in the Nifty 50 pack are NTPC, IndusInd Bank, BPCL, Power Grid Corporation of India, and HDFC Life Insurance Company. Meanwhile, the top five stocks pulling down the index are Hero Motocorp, SBI Life Insurance Company, Divi’ Labs, Titan Company, and Hindalco Industries.

BSE Midcap index is trading at a level of 24,348.83 up by 1.00%. The top 3 gainers of the index were BHEL, Bajaj Holdings, and IDFC First Bank. Each of these scrips gained more than 6%. The top three stocks dragging the index were Cholamandalam Investment and Fin Co, Alkem Laboratories, and Aditya Birla Financial Services.

BSE Smallcap index is trading at, 28,625.12 up by 1.45%. The top three gainers are Centrum Capital, IOL Chemicals, and Bectors Food. Each of these stocks gained more than 15%. The top three stocks pulling the index down are HOEC, Usha Martin, and Greenply Industries.

Almost all the sectoral indices on the BSE were trading in the green, with only BSE IT, and Teck lagging due to the fluctuations in dollar valuation.
