Low Price Shares locked in Upper Circuit on April 21

At 11:20 am on Thursday, the core equity indices, i.e. Sensex and Nifty 50 were trading higher than the last trading session. The Sensex was trading at 57,792.83, up by 755.33 points or 1.32% and the Nifty 50 was trading at 17,346.30, up by 209.75 points or 1.22%.   

The top five gainers in Nifty 50 pack are Coal India, Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone, IndusInd Bank, Maruti Suzuki and Bajaj Finserv. Meanwhile, the top five stocks pulling down the index are Nestle India, Hindalco Industries, Bajaj Auto, Tata Steel and JSW Steel.

BSE Midcap index was trading at a level of 24,775.76 up by 0.88%. The top three gainers of the index were Gland Pharma, RBL Bank and Biocon Ltd. Each of these scrips gained more than 3%. The top three stocks dragging the index were ICICI Securities, Jindal Steel and Tata Communications Ltd.

BSE Smallcap index was trading at 29,342.21, up by 1.27%. The top three gainers were Future Lifestyle Fashions, Future Consumer and VRL Logistics. Each of these stocks gained more than 12%. The top three stocks pulling the index down were Birla Tyres, Capri Global Capital and Genus power infrastructures.

Most of the sectoral indices were trading in the green, with BSE Energy, BSE Capital goods and BSE Industrials trading higher by 1%, and the only lagger was BSE Metal.
