Low Price Shares locked in Upper Circuit on April 25

The core equity indices, i.e. Sensex and Nifty 50 were trading lower owing to weak global cues.

At 11:15  am on Monday, the core equity indices, i.e.  Sensex and Nifty 50 were trading lower. The Sensex was trading at 56,702.66, down by 0.86% and the Nifty 50 was at 16,988.22 down by 1.07%.

The top five gainers in the Nifty 50 pack were ICICI Bank, Bajaj Auto, Maruti Suzuki, Axis Bank and Hero Motocorp. Meanwhile, the top five stocks pulling down the index were Bharat Petroleum Corporation, Coal India Ltd, Tata Steel, Tech Mahindra and Britannia Industries Ltd.

BSE Midcap index is trading at a level of 24,340.22, down by 1.45%. The top 3 gainers of the index were Adani Power, Varun Beverages and Aditya Birla Capital. Each of these scrips gained more than 3.5%. The top three stocks dragging the index were Tata Communications, Cummins India and Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd.

BSE Smallcap index was trading at, 28,891.58, down by 1.22%. The top three gainers were Religare Enterprises, Jayant Agro-Organics, and Mahindra CIE Automotive Ltd. Each of these stocks gained more than 6%. The top three stocks pulling the index down were Future Supply Chain Solutions, Future Lifestyle Fashions and Future Consumer Ltd. Each of these scrips fell more than 19%. 

All of the sectoral indices were trading in the red, except BSE BANKEX and the top losers were BSE Metal, BSE Realty and BSE Telecom.
