Low Price Shares locked in Upper Circuit on April 26

Domestic markets zoomed from Tuesday’s opening bell amid mixed global cues.

At 11:15 am on Tuesday, core indices i.e. Sensex and Nifty 50 were trading in green. The market strength was very good as 2190 equities increased on the BSE, whereas 1026 declined. There were a total of 125 shares that remained unchanged.

In the morning session, BSE Sensex was trading at a level of 57,174.56. BSE Midcap also surged and was trading at 24,602.50 levels. BSE Smallcap index increased and traded at the level of 28,980.28 The top gaining stocks on BSE Sensex were IndusInd Bank, Mahindra and Mahindra, Sun Pharmaceuticals, and Bajaj Finance. And, only Asian Paints Ltd was trading in red.

Nifty 50 index was also trading in green at 17,140.90 levels. The gaining stocks on Nifty 50 were Bajaj Auto, Hero Motocorp, IndusInd Bank and Britannia Industries. On the other hand, stocks dragging the index include Oil and Natural Gas Corporation, Asian Paints and Hindalco Industries Ltd.  

The Nifty Midcap index was trading at 30,171.70 levels. The top three gainers of the index were JSW Energy, Ashok Leyland Ltd and LIC Housing Finance Ltd. Stocks dragging the index down were Hindustan Zinc, Max Healthcare Institute and The Ramco Cements.

The Nifty Smallcap index was trading at 10,398.45. The top three gainers of the index were Tanla Platforms Ltd, Indiabulls Housing Finance and Sobha Ltd. The top stocks pulling the index down were Aptus Value Housing Finance, Intellect Design Arena Ltd and Amber Enterprises India Ltd.
