Low Price Shares locked in Upper Circuit on April 28
Domestic markets were trading on a higher side on Thursday’s opening bell amid mixed global cues.
At 11:45 am on Thursday, benchmark indices Sensex and Nifty were trading in green. The market strength was good as 1498 equities increased on the BSE, whereas 1721 declined. There were a total of 132 shares that remained unchanged.
In the morning session, BSE Sensex was trading at a level of 57,267.02. BSE Midcap also climbed and was trading at 24,452.01 levels. BSE Smallcap index fell and traded at the level of 28,697.16. Top gaining stocks on BSE Sensex were Hindustan Unilever Ltd, Asian Paints, Reliance Industries, Infosys Ltd and Larsen and Toubro. And, top losers were HCL Technologies, Bajaj Finance and Bajaj Finserv.
Nifty 50 index has also surged and was trading at 17,157.15 levels. The gaining stocks on Nifty 50 were Hindustan Unilever Ltd, Asian Paints and UPL Ltd. On the other hand, stocks dragging the index include Hindalco Industries, Bajaj Auto and Bajaj Finance.
The Nifty Midcap index is trading at 29,981.05 levels. The top three gainers of the index were Indian Hotels Company, Varun Beverages Ltd and Coromandel International Ltd. The Nifty Smallcap index was trading at 10,316.60 levels. The top three gainers of the index were JM Financial Ltd, DCM Shriram Ltd and Firstsource Solutions Ltd.
