Low Price Shares locked in Upper Circuit on March 31
At noon on Thursday, the core equity indices, i.e. Sensex and Nifty 50, were trading flat due to continued geopolitical tensions, and worries over crude oil supply.
The Sensex was trading at 58,624.67, down by 59.32 points or 0.10% and the Nifty 50 was trading at 17,481.60, down by 16.65 points or 0.10%.
The top five gainers in the Nifty 50 pack are IOC, Mahindra & Mahindra, Hero Motocorp, JSW Steel, and Britannia Industries. Meanwhile, the top five stocks pulling down the index are Hindalco Industries, Divi’s Labs, Reliance Industries, Bharti Airtel, and UPL.
BSE Midcap index is trading at a level of 24,108.99 up by 0.30%. The top 3 gainers of the index were Adani Power, Kansai Nerolac, and Page Industries. Each of these scrips gained more than 6%. The top three stocks dragging the index were Nuvoco Vistas, ABB India, and Crisil.
BSE Smallcap index is trading at, 28,261.05 up by 0.47%. The top three gainers are IFB Agro Industries, Suven Life Sciences, and Man Industries. Each of these stocks gained more than 14%. The top three stocks pulling the index down are Rattan Power India, Future Enterprises, and Panacea Biotech.
Almost all the sectoral indices on the BSE were trading in the green, with only BSE IT, BSE Healthcare, and BSE Capital goods dragging the broader indices.
