Low Price Shares locked in Upper Circuit on May 04

At 11:15 am on Wednesday, the benchmark equity indices, i.e. Sensex and Nifty 50 were trading downwards amid weak global cues.
The market strength was poor as 1369 equities increased on the BSE, whereas 1767 declined. There were a total of 141 shares that remained unchanged. In the case of domestic indices, the Sensex was trading at 56,553.33, down by 0.74%, and the Nifty 50 was trading at 16,933.45, down by 0.79%. The top gainers in the Nifty 50 pack were Oil and Natural Gas Corporation of India, Power Grid Corporation of India and Britannia Industries.
BSE Midcap index was trading at a level of 24,161.92, down by 0.58%. The top 3 gainers of the index were IDFC First Bank, RBL Bank and Mahindra and Mahindra Financial Services Ltd. The top three stocks dragging the index were Info Edge India Ltd, Voltas Industries and Apollo Hospitals Ltd. All of these stocks were down by more than 4%.
BSE Smallcap index was trading at 28,308.93, down by 0.19%. The top three gainers were Paisalo Digital Ltd, KIOCL Ltd and Medicamen Biotech Ltd. Each of these stocks gained more than 10%. The top three stocks pulling the index down were Varroc Engineering, NGL Fine-chem Ltd and Alembic Pharmaceuticals Ltd.
Most of the sectoral indices were trading in red, whereas BSE Consumer Durables and BSE Healthcare were the top losers.
