Low Price Shares locked in Upper Circuit on May 19
Sensex tumbles by 1200 points, Nifty below 15,900 levels amid weak global cues.
HPCL, Ashok Leyland, Bosch, Container Corporation of India, Endurance Technologies, Gland Pharma, Dr Reddy’s Laboratories, Godrej Consumer Products, Novartis India, Ramco Systems, Punjab & Sind Bank, Rossari Biotech, Ujjivan Financial Services, and Suryoday Small Finance Bank will release their quarterly results today.

All the leading global indices were trading downwards amid weak global sentiments and worries on the back of high inflation, the Russia-Ukraine war and Covid lockdowns in China.
In the UK, Consumer Price Inflation (CPI) hit 40 year-high of 9% in April 2022. Expectedly, Indian indices also opened in red and were trading with deep cuts.
At 11:55 am, the market strength was very poor as 701 equities increased on the BSE, whereas 2437 declined, and 117 shares remained unchanged. Around 160 stocks are locked in the upper circuit, whereas 208 were in their lower circuit. The Sensex was trading at a level of 52,989.40, downwards by 2.25% and the Nifty 50 was trading at 15,875.15, down by 2.25%.
BSE Midcap index was trading at a level of 22,119.77, down by 2.44%. The top gainers of the index were PI Industries Ltd, Adani Power Ltd and Abbott India Ltd. The top stocks dragging the index down were Mphasis Ltd, Sona BLW Precision Forgings Ltd and Trent Ltd.
BSE Smallcap index was trading at 25,863.47, slumping by 2.05%. The top gainers were Ucal Fuel Sytems Ltd, JK Laxmi Cements Ltd and Care Ratings Ltd. The top stocks pulling the index down were Manappuram Finance Ltd, Syncom Formulations Ltd and Vijaya Diagnostic Centre Ltd.
