Low Price Shares locked in Upper Circuit on May 20

 Indian equity market is trading higher today, led by auto and pharma- sector names.

NTPC, One 97 Communications (PayTM), Amara Raja Batteries, Indiabulls Housing Finance, IDFC, Indigo Paints, Indian Railway Finance Corporation, JK Tyre and Industries, CE Info Systems, Metro Brands, Paras Defence and Space Technologies, Pfizer and Zydus Lifesciences will release their quarterly results today.

Following is the list of low price stocks locked in the upper circuit on Friday. Keep a close eye on these counters for the upcoming sessions.

All the leading global indices were trading upwards amid positive global sentiments. Shares in Asian markets also jumped in early trade as China cut its five-year loan prime rate (LPR) by 15 basis points on Friday morning. In India, the equity market has soared like an eagle, with Sensex and Nifty 50 both hovering over 2%.

At 12:15 pm, the market strength was very good as 2,440 equities increased on the BSE, whereas 725 declined, and 136 shares remained unchanged. Around 225 stocks are locked in the upper circuit, whereas 145 were in their lower circuit. The Sensex was trading at a level of 53,904.38, upwards by 2.11% and the Nifty 50 was trading at 16,150.30, up by 2.16%. 

BSE Midcap index was trading at a level of 22,366.03, advanced by 1.34%. The top gainers of the index were MacroTech Developers Ltd, Adani Power and Ruchi Soya. The top stocks dragging the index down were Gland Pharma, Supreme Industries and PI Industries Ltd.

BSE Smallcap index was trading at 26,149.03, up by 1.35%. The top gainers were Surya Roshni Ltd, Omaxe Ltd and Welspun Corp Ltd. The top stocks pulling the index down were Equitas Small Finance Bank, Onmobile Global Ltd and Equitas Holdings Ltd.
