Low Price Shares locked in Upper Circuit on May 24

Indian equity market is trading downwards today, owing to negative global cues. 

Grasim Industries, Adani Ports, JM Financial, Clariant Chemicals, Ugro Capital, Bank of India, eClerx Services, Ipca Laboratories, Latent View Analytics, Jyothi Labs, Metropolis Healthcare, Minda Industries, MTAR Technologies, NIIT, National Fertilizers, RailTel Corporation of India, Shree Renuka Sugars, RITES, Strides Pharma Science, and Zee Media will release their quarterly results today.

Following is the list of low price stocks locked in the upper circuit on Tuesday. Keep a close eye on these counters for the upcoming sessions.  

Overnight, major Wall Street indices ended higher, whereas Asian indices witnessed negative global sentiments in today’s early trading session. Expectedly, the Indian benchmark indicator Sensex was trading at a level of 54,167.59, declining by 0.22% and the Nifty 50 was trading at 16,163.90, down by 0.31%.  

At 11:05 am, the market strength was poor as 1,109 equities increased on the BSE, whereas 1,904 declined, and 150 shares remained unchanged. Around 143 stocks are locked in the upper circuit, whereas 154 were in their lower circuit. 

BSE Midcap index was trading at a level of 22,311.00, fell by 0.62%. The top gainers of the index were Adani Power Ltd, Ashok Leyland and Page Industries. The top stocks dragging the index down were The New India Assurance Company Ltd, JSW Energy and ICICI Securities Ltd. 

BSE Smallcap index was trading at 26,070.58, slipped by 0.43%. The top gainers were BhagiRadha Chemicals and Industries Ltd, Shilpa Medicare Ltd and Hikal Ltd. The top stocks pulling the index down were Rupa and Company Ltd, Tamil Nadu Petroproducts Ltd and Thomas Cook India Ltd.
