Low price stocks: These scrips are locked in the upper circuit on March 4

At 11 am on Friday, the core equity indices plunged sharply. Asian equity markets and the Euro suffered heavy losses and oil prices jumped as investors took fright from reports of a nuclear power plant on fire amid fierce fighting between Ukraine and Russian troops.

The Sensex fell and was trading at 53,966.16 down by 1136.5 points, or 2.06% and the Nifty was down by 345.5 points or 2.06 at 16,442.13 levels, respectively.

The top five gainers in the Nifty 50 pack are UPL, ITC, Tata Steel, Hindalco Industries, and Dr Reddy’s Laboratories. Meanwhile, the top five stocks pulling down the index are Asian Paints, UTI AMC, CCL Products, and Ashok Leyland.

BSE Midcap index is trading at a level of 22,671.31, down by 2.14%. The top 3 gainers of the index were Bharat Electrical, ABB India, and Mphasis. Each of these scrips gained more than 1%. The top three stocks dragging the index were Ashok Leyland, IRCTC, and Godrej Properties.

BSE Smallcap index is trading at, 26,344.90 down by 1.42%. The top three gainers are Rossell India, Future Enterprises DVR, and Healthcare Global Enterprises. Each of these stocks gained more than 5%. The top three stocks pulling the index down include KBC Global, UTI AMC, and Vadilal Industries.

Almost all the sectoral indices on the BSE were trading in the red territory, where BSE Auto, BSE Consumer Durables, BSE CDGS, BSE Realty, and BSE Telecom were down by more than 3%.
