At 11.45 am on Tuesday, the frontline equity indices i.e, Sensex and Nifty 50 were marginally up with Sensex trading at 56,943.00, up by 537.16 points, and the Nifty was up by 153.65 points at 16,996.45 levels, respectively.
The top gainers of Nifty 50 are Hero MotoCorp, Eicher Motors, Shree Cements, Infosys, and Bajaj Finance. Meanwhile, the top five stocks pulling down the index include Cipla, Tata Steel, Power Grid Corporation of India, IOC, and ONGC.
BSE Midcap index is trading at a level of 23,523.83, up by 0.54%. The top three gainers of the index include ZEE Entertainment Enterprises Ltd, Jubilant FoodWorks, and LIC Housing Finance Company. Each of these scrips was up by more than 4%. The top three stocks dragging the index were Endurance Technologies, Gland Pharma, and Crompton Greaves Consumer Electricals.
BSE Smallcap index is trading at 27,481.45, down by 0.07%. The top three gainers are Sree Rayalaseema, Excel Industries, and Dredging Corporation of India. Each of these stocks gained more than 13%. The top three stocks pulling the index down include Jindal Poly Films, Repco Home Finance, and Mannapuram Finance.
On the Sectoral front, the BSE sectoral indices were seen trading in the green with BSE Auto, BSE IT, BSE FMCG, and BSE CDGS (Consumer Discretionary Goods and Services) being up by more than 1%.
