L&T reports significant order wins within its business segments

The cumulative value of all order wins falls within the range of Rs 1000 crore to Rs 2500 crore.

Larsen & Toubro Ltd (L&T), an Indian multinational engaged in engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) Projects, Hi-Tech manufacturing and services has secured significant contracts for its various businesses.

The first order has been secured by the Railways Strategic Business Unit (SBU) of L&T Construction's Transportation Infrastructure IC from IRCON International Ltd. This order involves 25 kV Overhead Electrification, Signaling and Telecommunication, and associated works for 549 RKM/678 TKM railway lines pertaining to the Northeast Frontier Railway.

The project is part of the Central Government's 'Mission Electrification' initiative. This initiative intends to electrify the entire Indian Railway network which shall reduce carbon footprint as well as expenditure on diesel.

Similarly, a second-order win has been secured by the Factories Business of Buildings and Factories IC from a global FMCG manufacturer. In this project, the company shall undertake the designing & construction of a food processing facility in Gujarat, India.

The scope of the project comprises civil, structural, architectural and mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) utility works including External Development Works.

Furthermore, this business segment has also received an order from a prestigious client for the expansion of a super speciality hospital in Kolkata by 250 beds on a Design and Build basis. The built-up area of the project is estimated to be 2.61 Lakh Sq Ft. with a configuration of basement+ ground+ 10 floors structure including LINAC & PET CT facility.

The scope of the project comprises Civil Structure using a structural composite deck slab system with CFT columns, finishes & allied MEP services including medical gas piping, nurse call system, pneumatic tube system with external development and landscaping within site premises.

At 2.50 pm, the share price of Larsen & Toubro Ltd (L&T) was trading at Rs 1,727.95, which was an increase of 2.16% from the previous day’s closing price of Rs 1,691.45 on BSE.
