NHPC Limited announced Q4 FY2024 Results, consolidated PAT down by 18% while revenue up by 4% on a YOY basis

Synopsis:

NHPC Limited announced its quarterly results for March 2024 on 17th May after market hours. It is a government-owned company and also has the status of “Mini Ratna”. It reported a consolidated PAT of ₹610.93 cr for Q4 FY2024. Its consolidated total revenue for Q4 FY2024 increased by 4.11% on a YOY basis reaching ₹ 2320.18 cr. The company also declared a ₹ 0.50 per share dividend. 

Quarter result performance

The company’s consolidated total revenue for Q4 FY2024 was up by 4.11% on a YOY basis, reaching ₹ 2320.18 cr from ₹ 2228.68 cr in Q4 FY2023. The quarterly consolidated revenue was down by 9%. NHPC reported a consolidated PAT of ₹ 610.93 cr for Q4 FY2024 against ₹ 745.27 cr in Q4 FY2023, which is a decline of 18.03%. On a quarterly basis, the consolidated PAT was down by 2.79%. EBITDA was also down by 1.4% reaching ₹ 885.4 cr. While its EBITDA margin was 44%.

For the full financial year ending in March 2024, the consolidated PAT stood at ₹ 4,028.01 cr compared to ₹ 4,260.83 cr in FY 2023, down by 5.46%. For FY 2024, its consolidated total revenue stood at ₹ 10,993.91 cr compared to ₹ 11,284.90 cr in FY 2023, down by 2.58%. 

NHPC Limited announced a final dividend of ₹ 0.50 per share having a face value of Rs. 10 at 5%. This is an additional dividend in FY2024 as the company also declared a ₹ 1.40 per share interim dividend in March 2024.
