These low price stocks were locked in the upper circuit on Thursday!

Indian equity market is trading in a choppy manner today, owing to mixed global cues.

In May 2022, most automakers reported YoY and QoQ increase in their wholesale dispatches. On a YoY basis, growth was heightened due to a low base. In the passenger vehicle segment, a good demand was partially offset by supply chain constraints. Domestic two-wheeler industry volumes increased over April 2022. Commercial vehicle segment remained on a strong footing, especially in the medium and heavy vehicle segment. Tractor segment performance was also robust, led by better price realisations for crops. Another factor that boosted the growth was the timely arrival of monsoon in India which augured well for tractor demand.

Today, domestic indicators Sensex and Nifty 50 were trading sideways amid mixed global cues. At 12:00 pm, the Indian benchmark indicator Sensex was trading at a level of 55,563.48 up by 0.33%. The top gainers of Sensex were Reliance Industries, Bajaj Finserv and Tata Consultancy Services Ltd. On the other side, the most affected companies were Hindustan Unilever Ltd, Power Grid Corporation of India, and HDFC Ltd. BSE Midcap index was trading at a level of 22,972.13, which fell by 0.64%. BSE Smallcap index was trading at 26,583.94, advanced by 0.19%. The Nifty 50 was trading at 16,554.30, up by 0.19%. Reliance Industries, Bajaj Finserv and Tata Consultancy Services Ltd were the top-performing companies.

On the sectoral front, BSE Energy and BSE Oil & Gas were the top gaining sectors today. BSE Energy surged 1.31% with Deep Industries Ltd being the top performer (gained more than 10%).
