At 2.30 pm on Friday, frontline indices Sensex and Nifty 50 were seen trading at 57,803 and 17,226 levels respectively. The indices have fallen sharply by 1.2% each, since the morning session.
The top 5 gainers of Sensex were Tata Steel, Larsen and Toubro, UltraTech Cement, IndusInd Bank, and Infosys. Whereas, the top 5 losers were Power Grid Corporation (down by 2.9%), Reliance, Bharti Airtel, Tech Mahindra, and Sun Pharma.
The Nifty Midcap 100 index is trading at 30,288, where the top 3 gainers of the index include Aditya Birla Capital, Indian Hotels Company Ltd, and Deepak Nitrite. Similarly, the top 3 stocks dragging the index include AU Small Finance Bank, Dr Lal Path Labs, and IndiaMART InterMESH.
The Nifty Smallcap 100 index is trading at 10,822, up by 1%. The top 3 gainers are Indian Energy Exchange (IEX), Amber Enterprises and Happiest Minds. Each of these scrips are up by more than 5%. The top 3 stocks dragging the index were Trident Limited (down by almost 5%), PNB Housing Finance Ltd, and Balrampur Chini Mills Ltd.
Looking at NSE sectoral indices, except for Nifty IT and Nifty Media, all the other indices have taken a bearish outlook of the market.
