On Thursday, some of the low-price shares were seen outperforming in the trading session.
The benchmark indices are seen trading higher, with BSE Sensex up by more than 400 points with a gain of 0.72% at the 58,097.92 level.
Among the stocks included in Sensex, HDFC is the top BSE Sensex gainer rising by more than 3.5% catching attention, while Axis Bank is the top BSE Sensex loser on Thursday, trading more than 1.3% on the lower side.
On the other hand, turning to the performance the broader markets are depicting in Thursday’s trading session, BSE Midcap is trading 0.12% higher and BSE Smallcap is trading 0.49% up.
GMR Infrastructure, Supreme Industries, JSW Energy, Bajaj Holding and Indraprastha Gas are taking top positions in the BSE Midcap index whereas Macrotech Developers (Lodha) has declined the most among the Midcap stocks included.
Apex Frozen Foods, Gayatri Projects, PG Electroplast, JMC Projects (India) and Pokarna are among the top BSE Smallcap index gainers on Thursday.
All the sectoral indices except realty, metal, bankex and telecom are trading with positive cues in Thursday’s trading session.
The price-volume breakout is seen in some of the low-priced stocks in Thursday’s trading session with several stocks being locked in the upper circuit gaining up to 9.98%
