At 11 am on Tuesday, frontline equity indices Sensex and Nifty 50 were seen trading at 57,766 and 17,196 levels, respectively. The Sensex was up by 345.9 points or 0.60% and the Nifty index ascended by 109 points or 0.64%.
The top 5 gainers of Nifty 50 were Asian Paints, Larsen and Toubro, Grasim India, Eicher Motors, and UltraTech Cement. The top stocks pulling down the index were IndusInd Bank, Dr Reddy’s Laboratories, and ICICI Bank.
The BSE Midcap index is trading at 24,624, up by 0.83%. The top 3 gainers of the index include IRCTC, Mphasis, and Oil India Ltd. Each of these scrips was up by more than 3%. The top 3 stocks dragging the index include Procter and Gamble, Kansai Nerolac Paints, and AU Small Finance Bank.
The BSE Smallcap index is trading at 28,875, up by 1.27%. The top 3 gainers are Uniphos Enterprises, Andrew Yule and Company, and Nahar Poly Films. Each of these stocks was up by almost 15%. The top 3 stocks pulling the index down were PTL Enterprises, Gravita India, and Borosil.
All the sectoral indices on BSE are trading in the green with BSE Telecom, BSE Realty, and BSE Capital Goods, being up by more than 1%, respectively.
