The top five gainers of Nifty 50 were Bajaj Finance, IOC, Bajaj Finserv, Asian Paints, and Bajaj Auto. The top five stocks pulling down the index included Tech Mahindra, HCL Technologies, Infosys, Wipro, and Tata Consumer Products.
BSE Midcap index is trading at 25,305, up by 0.19%. The top three gainers of the index include AU Small Finance Bank, Cholamandalam Investment and Fin Co Ltd, and Gland Pharma. Each of these scrips was up by more than 2%. The top three stocks dragging the index include Aditya Birla Capital, Mphasis, and IRCTC.
BSE Smallcap index is trading at 29,916, down by 0.03%. The top three gainers are Seshasayee Paper and Boards, Ganesha Ecosphere, and Balmer Lawrie and Company. Each of these stocks gained more than 10%. The top three stocks pulling the index down include Brightcom Group, Shriram EPC, and Suzlon Energy.
The sectoral indices on the BSE are mostly trading flat. The only exceptions are BSE IT and BSE TECk, which were down by more than 1.5%.
