Nifty IT is looking very bullish with almost a 2% increase. This is because of higher revenues, better demands and huge deals in the pipeline.
At 3.00 pm on Thursday, frontline indices Sensex and Nifty 50 were seen trading at 58,446 and 17,397 levels respectively.
The top 5 gainers of Sensex were HDFC (up by 3.7%), Sun Pharma (up by 2.5%), Power Grid Corporation (up by 3%), Tech Mahindra, and HCL Technologies. Whereas, the top 5 losers were ICICI Bank, Axis Bank, Bharti Airtel, Ultratech Cement and SBI.
The Nifty Midcap 100 index is trading at 30,144, up by 0.61%. The top 3 gainers of the index include Adani Total Gas, Mindtree and SRF Limited. Similarly, the top 3 stocks dragging the index were Ashok Leyland, Vodafone Idea and PI Industries.
The Nifty Smallcap 100 index is trading at 10,690 up by 0.16%. The top 3 gainers being Century Textile and Industries Limited, Blue Star Limited and Blue Dart Express. The top 3 stocks dragging the index were Trident Limited (down by almost 5%), Linde India and Indian Energy Exchange (IEX).
Looking at NSE sectoral indices, Nifty IT is looking very bullish with almost a 2% increase. This is because of higher revenues, better demands and huge deals in the pipeline. Whereas, all the Banking indices like NIFTY PSU and Nifty Private Bank as well as Nifty Financial Services are showing a very bearish trend owing to rating decline, rising inflation and weak sentiments from the investors.
