On a weekly basis, Dow fell 1.3%, while S&P 500 and Nasdaq tumbled 2.2% and 4.1%, respectively. The yield on the 10-year US Treasury note slumped over seven basis points to 2.901%, the lowest since May 31.

In June, just ahead of the European Central Bank's first rate hike in 11 years, inflation hit a record high. As opposed to 8.1% in the same month last year, its headline inflation rate in May 2022 was 8.6% YoY.

At the time of writing, the Nifty 50 was down 16.25 points (0.1%) to 15,735.80. In the short term, 15,450 would be a good support level, while 15,850 would be a strong resistance level.
