Adani Ports, DLF and Grasim Limited have witnessed volume burst in the last 75 minutes of the trade.

As the saying goes, the first and the last hour of each trading session is the most important and active in terms of price and volume. More so, the activity in the last hour is said to be of utmost importance because most of the pro traders and institutions are active at this time. Hence, when a stock sees a good spike in volume in the last leg of trade along with price rise it is said to be the pro and institutions have a keen interest in the stock. Market participants should keep a close watch on these stocks as they can witness good momentum in the short-medium term.

So, based on this principle, we have shortlisted three stocks, which have witnessed volume burst in the last leg of trade along with price rise.

Adani Ports: The stock rose about 2.12% on Wednesday. The stock traded slightly positive during the day and witnessed huge buying momentum towards the end.  It shot up nearly 2% in the last hour and supported the market. This price action was accompanied by huge volume as over 55% of the total day’s volume as recorded during this period. Moreover, the stock has seen rising volume seen past three trading sessions which suggest active institutional participation in the stock. Thus, it will not be surprising if the stock soars higher in near future.

DLF: The stock soared near 2% on Wednesday’s trading session. It traded flat to positively throughout the day but then witnessed sharp upmove in the last hour. The stock rose nearly 2.5% during this time which was backed by huge volume. Moreover, the stock closed near day’s high which suggests strong potential of the stock to be trading higher in coming days.

Grasim Limited: The stock of Grasim surged over 3% higher. It scaled newer highs as the session progressed. In the latter half of the session, the stock gained more pace and ended near day’s high. The volume recorded today is greater than 10-day and 30-day average volumes. The stock is showing no signs of halting and with rising volumes, the stock is all set to be soaring higher in upcoming days.
