EPL. IDFC, and Dalmia Bharat have witnessed volume burst in the last 75 minutes of the trade.

As the saying goes, the first, as well as the last hour of each trading session, is the most important and active in terms of price & volume.

More so, the activity in the last hour is said to be of utmost importance because most of the pro-traders and institutions are active at this time. Hence, when a stock sees a good spike in volume in the last leg of the trade along with price rise, it is considered a pro, and institutions have a keen interest in the stock. Market participants should keep a close watch on these stocks as they can witness good momentum in the short to medium-term.

So, based on this principle, we have shortlisted three stocks that have witnessed volume burst in the last leg of the trade along with price rise.

EPL: The stock soared 5.63% on Friday. It traded positively throughout the day despite a volatile market. Towards the end, it witnessed strong buying interest and volumes shot up. The stock surged nearly 3% and recorded good daily volume. The stock has surged above its previous day’s high and is expected to be traded heavily with a positive bias.

IDFC: The stock surged 3.76% on Friday’s trading session. In the last hour, the stock gained strong upside, as it jumped nearly 2%. The daily was greater than 10-day and 30-day average volume. The stock has crossed above its 50-DMA and is bullish. Thus, we expect it to trade positively in times to come.

Dalmia Bharat: The stock gained about 3.37% today. It traded positively for most part of the day but witnessed heavy buying towards the end. In the last 75 minutes, the stock surged about 1.50% and was volatile. Institutional buying was seen as most of the volume was recorded during this period. About 65% of the total volume was recorded in the last 75 minutes and it is likely to be under trader’s radar for upcoming days.
