VEDL, Fineorg, and Welspun India have witnessed a volume burst in the last 75 minutes of the trade.

As the saying goes, the first, as well as the last hour of each trading session, is the most important and active in terms of price & volume.

More so, the activity in the last hour is said to be of utmost importance because most of the pro-traders and institutions are active at this time. Hence, when a stock sees a good spike in volume in the last leg of the trade along with price rise, it is considered a pro, and institutions have a keen interest in the stock. Market participants should keep a close watch on these stocks as they can witness good momentum in the short to medium-term.

So, based on this principle, we have shortlisted three stocks that have witnessed volume burst in the last leg of the trade along with price rise.

VEDL: The stock traded flat for most of the day but saw strong buying interest in the last 75-minutes of the session. It gained 1.25% in the last leg of the session and more than 50% of the volume was seen during this period. Price rise along with substantial volume interest seen in the last 75-minutes indicates positivity in the stock. Hence keep a close watch on this scrip.

Fineorg: The stock surged over 9% and it registered a fresh high on Monday. It maintained its rhythm of higher high and nearly 2.5% gains were registered by the stock in the last hour of the trade. The total traded volume for the day was a little over 2.5 lakh out of which nearly 50% of the volume was registered in the last leg of the trade. Such high volumes indicate the trader's interest in the stock.

Welspun India: This stock jumped over 8% on Monday. It formed a sizable bullish candle with open=low and close near to the day’s high. Volume for the day was nearly three times the 50-day average volume. In fact, it was over 50 lakh shares out of which over 50% of the total traded volume was seen in the last 75-minutes of the trade. Traders can keep this stock on their radar.
