Penny Stocks Locked in the Upper Circuit on July 29, 2022


Nifty crosses the 17,000 level, while the Sensex rises by 500 points, with Tata Steel leading the way.
The three major Wall Street indices climbed more than 1% for the second day as the US Federal Reserve hinted that rate hikes may be slowed, while Treasury rates fell for the third day in a row. The rupee gained 30 paise to 79.39 against the US dollar as the US currency fell in value.

Indian headline indices opened higher on the back of optimistic global sentiments. Gains in metal and information technology companies lifted domestic indices to heights not seen in nearly two months. Tata Steel shares were the biggest gainer on the BSE Sensex, gaining more than 7.50%, a day after turning ex-stock split in a ratio of 1:10.
At 11:35 am, the Nifty 50 was trading at the 17,093.55 level, rallying by 0.97%. On the Nifty 50 index, the top gainers were SBI Life Insurance, Tata Steel and Hindalco Industries whereas; Dr Reddy’s Laboratories, Sun Pharmaceuticals and Cipla Ltd were the top losers of the session.
Sensex was trading at a level of 57,353.52, surging by 0.87%. The top gainers were Tata Steel, Bajaj Finserv and IndusInd Bank whereas; Dr Reddy’s Laboratories, Sun Pharmaceuticals and Hindustan Unilever were the top draggers of the session.
