Penny Stocks Locked in the Upper Circuit on September 14, 2022

Indian benchmark indices trade lower with IT stocks bearing the brunt of the damage. 

Monthly consumer prices unexpectedly climbed in August, boosting betting on a third consecutive 75-basis-point rate hike. Wall Street indices suffered a bloodbath overnight as the bulk of US companies collapsed, with technology stocks bearing the brunt of the damage. The Nasdaq Composite index plunged 5.16%, The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 3.94%, and the S&P 500 declined 4.32%.

Following is the list of penny stocks locked in the upper circuit on September  14. Keep a close eye on these counters for the upcoming sessions.

SGX Nifty indicated a negative opening for the broader index in India with a loss of 329 points. Indian benchmark indices opened with steep losses as was expected. With losses of more than 3%, BSE IT was the session's biggest dragger. 

At 11:25 am, the BSE Sensex slumped 0.64%, reaching a level of 60,183. The Nifty 50 index slipped 0.60% to 17,961 level. The top gainers on the Sensex were IndusInd Bank, NTPC Ltd and Power Grid Corporation of India whereas Infosys, Tech Mahindra and Tata Consultancy Services were the top losers. 

In the broader markets, the BSE Midcap index fell 0.26% and was trading at a level of 26,182 while the Smallcap index edged down 0.09% and was trading at a level of 29,867.
