The Indian benchmark indices were trading higher with BSE Telecommunication being the top-gaining sector whereas BSE Power Index was the top-losing sectoral indices.

On Monday, the benchmark indices were trading higher with Sensex up around 380 points or 0.65% at 62,404.22 and the Nifty trading up by 106 points or 0.57% at 18,420.

About 1,895 shares have advanced, 1,519 have declined and 187 were unchanged on BSE. 

Top Gainer & Losers on BSE:

Tata Motors, Tech Mahindra and Power Grid Corporation of India were the top Sensex gainers today, while Bajaj Finance, Maruti Suzuki and Sun Pharmaceuticals were the top Sensex loser.

The indices traded in a higher manner in the broader markets, with the BSE Mid-cap index up by 0.58% and the BSE Small-cap index up by 0.54%, respectively. The top mid-cap gainers are Godrej Projects and Oberoi Realty, while the top small-cap gainers were Repro India and Café Coffee Day.

The indices were trading mixed on the sectoral front, with the BSE Telecommunication Index leading the gainers and BSE Power Index being the losing sector. The BSE Telecommunication Index soared by 1.50%, led by Route Mobile and Indus Tower whereas BSE Power Index plunged by 0.50% dragged down by Adani Transmission and Adani Green Energy.

In the pre-opening session, these 3 stocks were trending: Tata Motors, Avenue Supermarts and EPL Ltd.
