The Indian benchmark indices were trading lower with BSE Realty Index being the top-gaining sector whereas BSE Financial Services Index was the top-losing sectoral index.  

On Tuesday, the benchmark indices were trading lower with Sensex down around 70 points or 0.11% at 62,278 and the Nifty trading down by 25 points or 0.14% at 18,376. 

About 2,081 shares have advanced, 1,138 have declined and 144 were unchanged on BSE.  

Top Gainer & Losers on BSE: 

Bajaj Finance, Infosys and Asian Paints were the top Sensex gainers today, while Mahindra & Mahindra, HDFC Bank and Housing Development Corporation of India were the top Sensex loser. 

The indices traded in a higher manner in the broader markets, with the BSE Mid-cap index up by 0.95% and the BSE Small-cap index up by 0.60%, respectively. The top mid-cap gainers are Astral Ltd and Tube Investments of India, while the top small-cap gainers were Repro India and Vesuvius India.

The indices were trading mixed on the sectoral front, with the BSE Realty Index leading the gainers and BSE Financial Services Index being the losing sector. The BSE Realty Index soared by 0.80%, led by Godrej Properties and DLF Ltd whereas BSE Financial Index plunged by 0.10% dragged down by JM Financials and URGO Capital. 

In the pre-opening session, these 3 stocks were trending: Astral Ltd, Housing & Urban Development Corporation and Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Ltd.
