The Indian benchmark indices were trading higher with BSE Bankex Index being the top-gaining sector, whereas BSE Realty Index was the top-losing sectoral index.

On Thursday, the benchmark indices were trading higher with Sensex up around 264 points or 0.42% at 61,825 and the Nifty trading down by 65 points or 0.32% at 18,239.

About 1,952 shares have advanced, 1,320 have declined and 150 were unchanged on BSE.

Top Gainer & Losers on BSE: 

Bajaj Finance, ICICI Bank and Bharti Airtel were the top Sensex gainers today, while Hindustan Unilever, Titan India and Power Grip Corporation of India were the top Sensex loser.

The indices traded in a mixed manner in the broader markets, with the BSE Mid-cap index up by 0.20% and the BSE Small-cap index up by 0.45%, respectively. The top mid-cap gainers are Chola Finance and NIACL Ltd, while Indo Amines and Man Industries Ltd are the top small-cap gainers.

The indices were trading mixed on the sectoral front, with the BSE Bankex Index leading the gainers and BSE Realty Index being the losing sector. The BSE Bankex Index soared by 0.50%, led by AU Small Finance Bank and Bandhan Bank whereas BSE Realty Index plunged by 1.80% dragged down by Macrotech Developers and Oberoi Realty Ltd.

In the pre-opening session, these 3 stocks were trending: Chennai Petroleum Corporation Ltd, Honeywell Automation India and Jindal Saw.
