The Indian benchmark indices were trading lower and all the sectoral indices were trading in the red.

On Wednesday, the benchmark indices were trading lower with Sensex down around 400 points or 0.79% at 60,198.64, and the Nifty trading down by 148 points or 0.84% at 17,682.50.

Top Gainer & Losers on BSE:

Maruti Suzuki and Sun Pharmaceuticals were the top Sensex gainers today, while Bajaj Finance, Bajaj FinServ and UltraTech Cement were the top Sensex losers.

The indices traded lower in the broader markets, with the BSE Mid-cap index plunging by 0.85% and the BSE Small-cap index down by 0.65%, respectively. The top mid-cap gainers were Aurobindo Pharma and Voltas Ltd, while the top small-cap gainers were Coffee Day Enterprises and EKI Energy Ltd.

The indices were trading lower on the sectoral front, with the BSE Utilities Index and BSE Services Index leading the losers. The BSE Utilities Index plunged by 1.66%, dragged down by Adani Green Energy and Adani Transmission while the BSE Services Index lost 1.42%, dragged down by State Trading Corporation of India and Allcargo Logistics.
