The Indian benchmark indices were trading higher with BSE Utilities Index being the top-gaining sector whereas BSE Capital Goods Index was the top-losing sectoral index.
On Tuesday, the benchmark indices were trading higher with Sensex up around 230 points or 0.37% at 62,185 and the Nifty trading up by 89 points or 0.48% at 18,400.
About 1,936 shares have advanced, 1,329 have declined and 126 were unchanged on BSE.
Top Gainer & Losers on BSE:
Bajaj FinServ, Tata Motors Ltd and Infosys Ltd were the top Sensex gainers today, while Titan India, Larsen & Toubro Ltd and Kotak Mahindra Bank were the top Sensex loser.
The indices traded in a higher manner in the broader markets, with the BSE Mid-cap index up by 0.55% and the BSE Small-cap index up by 0.50%, respectively. The top mid-cap gainers are Gland Pharma and Balkrishna Industries, while the top small-cap gainers were NACL Industries.

The indices were trading mixed on the sectoral front, with the BSE Utilities Index leading the gainers and BSE Capital Goods Index being the losing sector. The BSE Utilities Index soared by 1.25%, led by NLC India Ltd and Adani Transmission whereas BSE Capital Goods Index plunged by 0.35% dragged down by Bharat Electrical Ltd and Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd.
