The Indian benchmark indices were trading higher with BSE IT Index being the top-gaining sector, whereas BSE Utilities Index was the top-losing sectoral index.

On Friday, the benchmark indices were trading higher with Sensex up around 321 points or 0.53% at 62,196 and the Nifty trading up by 95 points or 0.52% at 18,416.

About 1,966 shares have advanced, 1,299 have declined and 141 were unchanged on BSE.

Top Gainer & Losers on BSE:

Reliance Industries Ltd, Tech Mahindra Ltd and Wipro Ltd were the top Sensex gainers today, while IndusInd Bank, Bharti Airtel and Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd were the top Sensex loser.

The indices traded in a higher manner in the broader markets, with the BSE Mid-cap index up by 0.45% and the BSE Small-cap index up by 0.45%, respectively. The top mid-cap gainers are Varun Beverages Ltd and Cummins India Ltd, while the top small-cap gainers were Medplus Health Services and Voltamp Transformers Ltd.

The indices were trading mixed on the sectoral front, with the BSE Information Technology Index leading the gainers and BSE Utilities Index being the losing sector. The BSE IT Index soared by 1.10%, led by Aurionpro Solutions Ltd, whereas BSE Utilities Index plunged by 0.30% dragged down by Power Grid Corporation of India and Adani Transmission.
