The Indian benchmark indices were trading lower with BSE Telecommunication Index being the top gaining sectoral indices and BSE Bankex being the top loser.

On Wednesday, the benchmark indices were trading lower with Sensex down around 123 points or 0.21% at 60,529 and the Nifty trading up by 70 points or 0.10% at 17,880.

About 2,013 shares have advanced, 1,072 have declined and 151 were unchanged on BSE.

Top Gainer & Losers on BSE:

Wipro, Sun Pharmaceuticals and Larsen & Toubro were the top Sensex gainers today, while Axis Bank, Bajaj Finserv and Hindustan Unilever were the top Sensex loser.

The indices traded in a higher manner in the broader markets, with the BSE Mid-cap index up by 0.52% and the BSE Small-cap index up by 0.56%, respectively. The top mid-cap gainers are PI Industries and Zee Entertainment Enterprises, while the top small-cap gainers were Aarti Surfactants and Cybertech Systems & Software.

The indices were trading mixed on the sectoral front, with the BSE Telecommunication Index leading the gainers and BSE Bankex Index leading the losers. The BSE Telecommunication Index soared by 2%, led by Indus Tower and Tejas Network and whereas BSE Bankex Index plunged by 0.50% dragged down by Axis Bank and ICICI Bank.
